December Adventures in Durango

On Friday, December 22nd we drove 750 miles NorthEast to Durango, Colorado where we arrived to Ethan and Elliot who were excited to give us a full tour of the house, their legos, and their toys. We stayed in a beautifully appointed guest bedroom with an antique rocking chair. Annie quickly made her own bed in my luggage:

Elliot stayed busy building lego creations and showing us Winnie the Pooh's house (he has a home in the woods on their property). Below he can be seen modeling a fantastic creation.

Dan, Erin, and the boys gave us a terrif tour of downtown Durango and all the beautiful historic buildings. We even heard the history of the antique chandelier in their home that was rescued from a bank that was being renovated.

They took us on a wonderful hike where Durango Dan had popped the question to Erin last spring.

On Christmas Eve day after a delicious breakfast of eggs, toast and fruit we hit the road and drove 360 miles to Longmont, CO where we were greeted by Cody Pup and Dan's Mom, Sonja.
