Memorial Day Zoo Adventures

On Memorial Day, after a big family sleepover at Kieran's house, we were up and out the door early as can be to head to the Denver Zoo. As a member Alex is allowed to get into the Zoo before it opens to the general public and bring his guests. Chris' mom, Karen, is also a member so we all had early access to the zoo.

In celebration of the Denver's sloth mama recently having a baby I made the boys sloth tee shirts.

Everywhere Kieran goes he takes his favorite toy (his ball or pelota in Spanish). He calls it "ta" for short, it's essentially his blankie. :)

At the Zoo we rented a Jeep which turned out to be a great decision as all the cousins loved taking a turn riding in it. Audrey especially enjoyed riding in her "chariot" with Kieran and she was great at pushing Kiki in it when she wanted to walk around.

We had a great time at the Zoo and even met up, briefly, with Dan's brother, David, and his family before we headed home to give Kieran a much-needed nap. :)

The Lions were pretty active for us; eating and strutting their stuff, so I'd say they were my favorite animal at the zoo last week. We also got to see the penguins being fed which was a great treat - they love their raw fish! What is your favorite animal to visit at the zoo?
