This past weekend I flew out to Denver for a visit with family. Alex picked me up at the airport late Friday night and on Saturday morning the Mcrundallnesses came over for breakfast and to explore Alex and Aline's neighborhood playgrounds.

For lunch Aline, Alex, Kieran and I met up with my in-laws in Longmont at Babette's Bakery. Sonja treated all of us to a fantastic pizza lunch, it was great to catch up with Shane, Angie and Lindsay too. After lunch we went with Sonja to the Cheese Importers to check out all the goods they had for sale. Ellen and her family met up with Chris' family for lunch. For dessert we all met up at Sweet Action in Denver for some ice cream. Kieran loved trying his parents and auntie's ice cream.

After our sweet treats we were invited to Lisa and Rahja's new house for a cookout of burgers and grilled veggie kabobs.
Kieran has a great appetite and especially enjoys fruits and feeding himself. After devouring many blackberries he turned the next couple handfuls of berries into blackberry juice. Some even ended up in his hair, which his dutiful father picked out of his hair like a good grooming monkey father. :)

On Sunday after french toast with fresh sliced strawberries we all had a grand time at the Lakewood Link pool where we all went down the slides and enjoyed racing and playing in the water features. In the evening we cooked up a delicious casserole from
Patti's Mexican Table and enjoyed yummy ice cream.
