More Lambs!

Since visiting the four lambs last weekend six more were born! Today when Dan, Annie and I went to check in on the lambs we were in for quite a treat. The lambs were running around and jumping up and down and generally being extremely adorable. These two were the newest lambs to join the pack and were close to the fence so we could get some better pictures.

Today I ran a 10k in Richmond along Monument avenue with friends. Annie was sad that she couldn't come along and run with us as she had been in training with me for the race. Unfortunately no dogs allowed in the race but she was definitely a good training buddy for me this spring. Here is a cute little video of the baby lambs. Highlights include some head ramming by some of the lambs and a pretty cute little hop at the end.

This past Thursday four lambs were born in Colonial Williamsburg. Dan, Annie and I went over on Friday night to say "Hello" to the newest members of the farm. When we arrived at the pen the lambs were on the far side of the pasture snuggling up near their respective mama sheep.
We stayed for a while to see some activity but the lambs were pretty content to just lay around. We decided to go back again on Sunday to see if we could get a closer peek at the lambs and we were in luck - the lambs were out and about and even did some really cute romping around in the pen.
In addition to lamb spotting we enjoyed looking at the Colonial gardens in spring bloom and the cherry blossoms trees that were fully flowering.
