We arrived on Christmas Eve at Dan's Mom's house and Annie was greeted by her old canine pal, Cody. Admittedly, Annie was a bit shy around Cody and didn't remember how much fun they used to have together. By the end of the trip they were fast friends again though; going for walks together and running around in the backyard in the snow.
On Christmas morning we awoke to a snowy scene. I made blueberry pancakes and bacon (for the meat eaters) for breakfast then we headed to Thornton for a lovely Christmas supper at the Ransoms. After supper and games we drove to Denver to meet baby Kieran McGuinness and have dinner with his proud parents.

We had a fantastic time visiting with Dan's mom, siblings, niece, and nephew and friends in the Denver area. We strolled through Brian's neighborhood and explored the Denver Botanical Gardens and went to Golden where we strolled along Clear Creek at sunset and then met up with Alicia, Forbes, and their kids, Piper and Gavin for dinner and drinks. We look forward to seeing everyone again soon!
